Features
Deciduous, multi-stemmed, medium-sized shrub (2-4.5m tall). Leaves opposite, simple, ovate, serrate. Dark green above, wrinkled and pubescent beneath. Flowers white, sterile outer flowers much larger, appearing in showy clusters several inches wide. Fruit: bright red drupes produced in large clusters, ripening to black, in late summer.
