Similar Taxa
Has been confused with C. franchetii, however the flowers of that species have erect petals and the fruits mostly have 3 (up to 5) pyrenes ('seeds'), whereas C. pannosus has flowers with spreading petals and almost always has 2 pyrenes per fruit.
