The fruit bodies, which are up to 7 x 5 cm, are repeatedly branched, narrowly to broadly obtriangular in profile. There is a single stalk (stipe) up to 2 x 1.5 cm. It is fleshy, more or less cylindrical, rounded at base, and white. The major branches (2–4) are up to 0.6 cm thick, erect to stiffly ascending, white when young, very slowly changing to cream colour. The apices are light bright yellow when young, fading to pale cream colour in age. There is no odour; taste has not been recorded. The spores are 10–11.5 x 4.7–5.4 µm, ellipsoid, and often somewhat flattened adaxially. The wall is up to 0.3 µm thick, with significantly raised cyanophilous warts and short ridges covering much of the wall surface.

Fruiting

This fungus has been collected on two occasions in June 1981 and August 2003.

Found on ground under Leptospermum sp. and Nothofagus sp.
