Features
The fruit bodies are up to 8 x 3.5 cm, branched, and narrowly obpyramidal in profile. The single stalk (stipe) is up to 35 x 18 mm, and is grooved or lobed in cross section. It is white where protected. There are several major branches, each arising gradually from the stipe. The apices are long and stout, often dichotomous within 3–4 mm of the tip. All branches and apices are apricot-salmon, with the flesh more vivid than the surface. Taste and odour has not been recorded. The spores are 13.7–16.2 x 4.7–5.2 µm, elongate-ellipsoid, with a suprahilar depression. The spore contents are deep ochraceous.
