Taupo, Stewart Island, Vietnam, Indonesia.

Features

The fruiting body consists of a large, thick disc, up to 10 cm diameter, and narrowly attached at the centre. It is flabby and jelly-like, and heavy to hold. The upper surface is smooth while the lower surface is even or wrinkled. It is black beneath, bright orange-brown or apricot above, dark grey within. The spores are colourless, ellipsoidal, 42–50 x 16–18 µm, and verrucose.

Fruiting

Known from two collection made in April and August.

Substrate

On dead branch on living tree of Podocarpus totara, and on fallen Prumnopitys ferruginea (miro).
