Conservation status of New Zealand indigenous vascular plants, 2012
The conservation status of all known New Zealand vascular plant taxa at the rank of species and below were reassessed in 2012 using the New Zealand Threat Classification System (NZTCS). This report includes a statistical summary and brief notes on changes since 2009 and replaces all previous NZTCS lists for vascular plants. Authors: Peter J. de Lange, Jeremy R. Rolfe, Paul D. Threats

The only known New Zealand population is confined to Raoul Island, an active volcanic island and part of the Kermadec Islands Nature Reserve. There the species is judged secure from human related threats. However, Crepidomanes humile was only recognised in May 2011 and it does seem to genuinely scarce on Raoul Island based on the lack of previous collections and its current seemingly very limited occurrence near Prospect Hill. The species as a new record for the New Zealand Botanical Region has yet to be formally assigned a threat listing, however, it does appear to warrant the status "At Risk/Naturally Uncommon" qualified DP, SO
