can you please help me. My daughter ate a berry from this plant and I can't find out what it is. The local garden centre say it looks similar to other plants but they don't know exactly what it is.
Hi, your plant looks like Coprosma grandfolia - a NZ native plant - which means the fruit are edible. See: http://www.nzpcn.org.nz/page.aspx?flora_vascular_flowering_plants_dicots_coprosma Hope this helps.
Thank you, that is spot on. I've done some googling and that is exactly what it is. I was a little thrown by the flowers until I discovered that I have the female plant and the flowers I was looking at on the net were the male ones. So relieved!
