  1. Korthalsella salicornioides

  2. I thought the last time I checked the NZPCN site that Korthalsella was placed in the Viscaceae. Now it is back in the Santalaceae!
Which family is it in ??

  3. Kiaora Larry - Peter here replying from Salzburg. Korthalsella is now back in the Viscaceae (or rather its been there a while). I wrote a summary of all the changes in the Santales in Trilepidea 91 called "What's up in the Santales?'" Seems everyone has overlooked this. Anyway that article was based on a paper by Dan Nickrent and friends published in Taxon which I had overlooked when compiling what is now de Lange & Rolfe (2010). The paper you want is:

    Nickrent, D.L.; Malécot, V.; Vidal-Russell, R.; Der, J.P. 2010: A revised classification of Santalales. Taxon 59: 538-558.

But note they got Mida wrong in there. Mida IS MONOTYPIC and it is ENDEMIC to New Zealand. Also Mida is in the Nanodeaceae - we only have one Santalaceae representtaive now - Exocarpos

    Ciao

  4. Hi Larry, you can find Peter's interesting "What's up in the Santales?" article here: http://www.nzpcn.org.nz/publications/Trilepidea-91-June_2011.pdf

  5. Thanks for that Jesse - wasn't able to provide that from where I was. Ciao from a very cold Mayrhofen
