    Help, I have recently had a puppy join the family so i thought id try and figure out what plants are in my garden if anyone can help me! Thanks

    Hi Cheryll,
    that is a Hebe of some kind. Not sure what the other plant is - maybe evergreen buckthorn. Dogs are probably susceptible to the same toxins as people - get a book called "poisonous plants of NZ" out from the library. Unfortunately I don't think it covers exotic species?
