  1. Help with ID please

    This plant is common in Hawkes Bay forests and I assume it's a sedge, hopefully native, but I can't find an image to match it in sedges or grasses anywhere. Thanks

    Difficult to tell but it looks like a Carex to me. Probably native.

    Hey that's cool! I have never seen it but just read that it's only found south to Nelson so I won't expect I'll see it round Chch.

    Probably resolved for you now - but your image is definitely Morelotia affinis
