What does Einadia mean in English
According to 'Meanings and origins of botanical names of NZ plants' by Marie Taylor it means "one stamen". The flowers of the type species contain only one or two stamens.
Since Einadia allanii is ranked as Naturally Uncommon and thus a plant of interest to be pointed out to non-botanists, I wonder if someone could come up with an engaging common name - One Stamen scrambler is not it.
I don't think that's the point. "Allan's one stamen' is the litteral but you can call that plant what you like. I personally find Einadia allanii easy enough to say anyway.
