    This seems to be a weed, I am looking for the name and also if this is a medicinal herb or is there a medicinal herb that looks like this? Thanks

    Hi Julie,
    This looks like an exotic Euphorbia to me, perhaps E. platyphllos. http://nzpcn.org.nz/flora_details.aspx?ID=3918
    The genus was named in honour of a Greek physician, but I know of no medicinal uses for this plant.

    I think you have Euphorbia depauperata var. pubescen, which is a common urban weed in Auckland. Like all Euphorbia its almost certainly poisonous.
