  1. Recording Phenology Observations

  2. Hello,

I'd like to record some phenology details of some podocarp species I have seen recently. They're just starting to produce cones. The phenology recording system only lists first flowering, and as conifers don't produce flowers I wasn't sure if this was the right option to pick.
Which option should I pick for future phenology observations involving podocarps?
    Probably a silly question...

    Cheers,
    Jane

  3. Its not a silly question at all - I had the same issue with bryophytes, ferns and clubmosses being fertile - and that has been (more or less) fixed now. I assume that having raised it the webmaster will fix it with some suitable wording - or perhaps you'd like to advise something you think works

  4. Hi Jane, i agree it is definitely not a silly question. We have added 'Cones present' to the options. Let us know if that will suffice, or as Peter suggests feel free to suggest alternative text and we can add it.

  5. Hi Peter & John,
That's fantastic thank you! I'm out and about in the backcountry a lot at the moment, and there's so much flowering/producing cones out there!
I'll try and record some more phenology observations.
    Cheers,
    Jane
