Forum Topic

  1. Search facility for the forum?

  2. There is a lot of very useful information hidden in the forums so some sort of search facility would be very useful. It would be tedious to go through all 33 pages consecutively and then find there is no question relating to the topic. Pages 21-32 can only be accessed by the left and right arrows so if you know there as an answer in there you can't even take a best guess at where it is but have to scroll through and this is going to get worse as more people wake up to the forum.
Even better linking to the species pages so that comment in the forum is linked from a species page would be fantastic.
For example take Hebe macrocarpa var. Macrocarpa the description under the species page is feeble but the most recent comment in the forum by P. de Lange provides excellent field diagnostic information.
Maybe there is a plan to catalog forum topics when there is enough to make it worthwhile but a search facility would do me for now.

  3. Hi Graeme - that is a great idea and I agree it would be very useful. I am sure that can be done quite easily as you suggest by creating a catalogue of the forum items. We will look into it.

  4. Search forum good idea - I remember a discussion about Brachyglottis bellidioides but now can't get to it as you can only go back 20 pages

  5. If I knew anything about websites I'd offer to sort it but sadly I don't.
In the meantime Mike is this what you are looking for

If so thank Mr Gooogle 'NZPCN forum Brachyglottis bellidioides'

  6. Cheers Graeme! Great work-around
