  2. Ok thats interesting! I thought most of the plants I saw looked too large for classic C. gracilenta, but it is a variable species. I don't think its a hybrid because I saw many plants in different places, and they all seemed to be growing in the same kind of habitat, which was very damp, south facing steep bluffy slopes near the scrubline. Here are some more photos. Note Olearia colensoi leaves for scale.

  6. Those look a lot more like C. polyvena. I would have thought Wilson would have been aware of these plants on Anglem if you found so many of them so not sure why he says that it occurs from Rakiahua southward. Definitely some should be collected and couvhered
