  1. Haloragis erecta subsp. erecta

  2. Would I regret the scattering of Haloragis seeds now in the retired paddock now full of gorse, pending revegetation in about 2016 with mahoe karamu, putaputaweta, kanuka, akeake before planting totara, kauri, kahikatea, rimu etc about 3 years later? All seed locally sourced from and for Te Mata Valley Thames Coast.

  3. It is very good a self-seeding if you want it there; I have some in my garden - it is very persistent but not perticularly noxious.

  4. Thanks, David. Presumably then it won't be a nuisance that I need to remove or cut back when I come to plant other things?

  5. I'm not sure what you mean by 'regret', but if you mean will it be a problem when you plant your trees, the answer is no, or at least I've never seen it as an aggressive ground-cover. However it won't be happy under gorse or in thick grass, I'd propagate at least some and then plant it into appropriate places like banks, forest and scrub margins.
