  1. Do you recognise this plant?

  2. Found in a plastic pot buried in an overgrown garden. Been there for a few years so not in great condition.

  3. Hi Maryanne - your image is not very clear alas - so I can only guess - I am thinking you might have something in the Acanthaceae, Justicia carnea "possibly" . I judge this by the venation and the pinkish colour on the leaf underside. But its only a wild guess - as a rule for sterile material one needs clearer images showing both leaf surface details, leaf shape, stem and leaf/stem junction (just case there are stipules) etc.

  4. Thanks Peter, I google imaged Acanthaceae, Justicia carnea and they look very similar.

  5. Excellent - and we have it on the NZPCN website too http://www.nzpcn.org.nz/flora_details.aspx?ID=4243 - I do think that's what your plant is
