I would like to find this tree so I can smell its aromatic properties. Can anyone tell me where it grows in the Auckland region?

Jesse gives good advice. It is not a common tree in the Auckland Area and I would be loathe to give out location details. If you wish to smell it, then as Jesse advises try a nursery grown plant
