  1. nursery database info

  2. Hi

I recently joined nzpcn and also recently took over the management of a small offshore island in Hauraki gulf which has a nursery and has done a lot of restoration planting.

My experience at nursery running is in its infancy and I would like to look at getting the information with regard to seed collecting, propagation and planting planning collated into spreadsheets /database that can provide a history of what has been collected in the past and currently , what has been grown and what has been planted or is still to be planted ( according to the restoration planning report).

I wondered what other places involved in restoration planting use to record their information and what is available ( preferably free) to enable the restoration society I work for to collate what has been collected , sown , raised and planted and determine what is still required/desirable.

    Cheers

    Vonny

  3. Hi Vonny, congrats on the new job and good luck. NatureSpace is a good source to contact what other projects are doing similar things to what you are doing.

  4. Hi Vonny, Mike is on the ball with that suggestion. NatureSpace has plenty of others groups detailed records from which you can glean ideas. There are also templates which may be useful.

  5. Hi there Vonny,
We published a module on nursery management a while back which has a lot of helpful information.

    Good luck!
