    What is the best month to see flowering alseuosmia in the Auckland area? Do the different species flower at different times?

    Around Auckland the key species you are likely to see is Alseuosmia macrophylla which starts flowering in late August extending to late October. Alseuosmia quercifolia is also around Auckland and it starts flowering in July through to November - varies greatly. Alseuosmia banksii var. banksii is very uncommon around Auckland and I have not seen i tin flower down here yet - in Northland it flowers from August through to November - again it varies.
