    My daughter and I hope you can help us identify this flower. It was taken in late November 2013 at the Roaring Meg overlook parking lot. Thanks.

    Hi Judith it looks like you've got Linaria purpurea - Purple Toadflax a common weed in New Zealand.

    I agree with Matt's ID, a common weed of gravelly roadside spots around Otago.
