  1. Carex pumila?

  2. Is this Carex pumila, I wasn't equipped to collect any. North of Westport along a rapidly eroding coast, the original habitat was probably a back dune hollow.

  4. Hi Graeme, I can help with this for a change. You definitely have C. pumila there. A fantastic species much overlooked, it has sand binding qualities too.

  5. Thanks Matt, I don't get to spend much time looking at coastal areas. A big mat of Triglochin striatum at the other end of a dune pond also being buried.
