    This plant is growing out side my back door can yoiu please tell me what it is

    HI Maryjane - that is a mothplant http://weedbusters.co.nz/weed_info/detail.asp?WeedID=95. which is an unwanted organism under the biosecurity act and it is a Surveillance Pest Plant in the Auckland region. Best thing you can do is to put the fruiting pods in the rubbish (not the compost) and then kill the plant. Take the pods off first to stop it from spreading.
