    Is this Phoenix palm? I will remove the other exotic when I'm next back down at the park.

    Looks like nikau to me, John. The main palms that look similar at a young age (particularly bangalow) wouldn't grow down your way.

    the seedlings I've seen have only been at the single blade stage, hence I assumed weed.. .Great to see the Kereru is top dressing right on the border of Stuart Park.
    My first year at growing native trees has resulted in 2000 trees hardening off on my front lawn John, come give us a hand this winter!
