Has anyone successfully translocated/grown a Korthalsella mistletoe?
I remember someone doing this down in Wairarapa and I think Burtons Bush in the Hutt Valley. i can't remember their name but Tony Silberry might remember. Good luck with it!
I know Tony has grown a Ileostylus on a Melicope simplex at both Percy Scenic Reserve and at the bush remnant in Kaitoke he might be the man to talk to.
Yes - Tony moved Ileostylus from Benge Part to Te Maruia Forest. I dont' know if anyone has succeeded with Korthalsella - but Amir Sultan's PhD (Massey University, Supervisor Alastair Robertson) may offer some advice. Also try talking to David Havell ([email protected]) as he had quite an interest in K. salicornioides. There is also a student - whose name alludes me for now - working on the genetics of the N.Z. members of genus under Dr Jen Tate ([email protected]) - also at Massey who might be able to help.
