Indeed - and as with any vernacular - the application of such names is imprecise and usually vague. Thus around Auckland Bryophyllum pinnatum is often called 'Lizard Plant" and sold as such - pop into Kings Plant Barn and have a look. This is one of the reasons why I prefer people learnt the actual scientific name and used these in preference to vernaculars BUT as you had asked where Bryophyllum pinnatum might be purchased from I gave you an answer, and to assist you further also the name that is used for that plant in the commercial sector - as you will probably need that. As far as I am concerned "Lizard Plant" applies to Bryophyllum daigremontianum - which LOL I see Landcare Research (NZPND) state is called 'Devil's Backbone' - so there you go, a classic example of the value of learning vernaculars!!!
