    I found the liverwort Ricciocarpus natans while I was surveying around a lake margin, I aren't very familiar with any liverworts but found out that it was rare on this website. I can't find much mentioned about its distribution, does anyone know of other sites and whether this patch needs looking after?

    Liverwort conservation is very much in its infancy in NZ, so congratulations on your initiative!

    It is a good looking liver wort that really stands out. Also It was found in an area which many people would think to have very low ecological value!!

    Hi Jacqui - please email me at [email protected] - if you have images of this species please attach those. Interested to know where you found it. I have seen it at several Waikato sites but as a rule its not very common in that region.
