    Also Mike - we have really good images of Illecebrum already on the website,. You are not alone in thinking it may have been a Crassula I know of other people who thought the same. Its a strange plant and its spreading - I know of it now from several dune lakes as far south as Rototoa (Kaipara)

    Yes, I imagine once you look at the flowers closer you would realise that it is something strange. There are only two low resolution images on the website. Therefore this one that shows the flowers better is a worthy addition I think

    Good idea of try asking Mr Paul Champion ([email protected]) at NIWA - you can send him your images of the Glossostigma and see what he says
