  1. Coprosma acerosa and Carex testacea at Hot Water Beach

In addition to the last question, I would also like to ask whether the Coprosma acerosa (extensive patches near the lifesaving tower) and Carex testacea in a small area of the dunes (along the northern end of the beach) are natural or planted. Attached is another image of Melicytus nz amongst the dunes.

  3. See my previous answer - these species do occur locally on other beaches in the general area - so they may be indigenous there.
