Young plant conservationist awarded Future Scientist Prize
Tim Logan was awarded a Young Plant Conservationist Award by NZPCN last year and his commitment to plant conservation has just earned him a Future Scientist prize and scholarship worth $50,000.
Tim hails from Canterbury and is particularly interested in understanding how New Zealand looked 1,000 years ago. His interest in restoration ecology and his enthusiasm has earned him the nickname 'the next Colin Meurk'.
It is very encouraging to see young people like Tim showing such dedication to conserving out native flora.
